A Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus caught fire near Shanti Van on Tuesday, making it the third such incident in a month. No casualties were reported, officials said.

The fire started in the rear part of an unair-conditioned bus that departs from Nand Nagri depot and broke down on road number 275.

A fire broke out at the Bhalswa landfill in north Delhi on Tuesday, officials said.

Firefighters received a briefing at 5:47 p.m., following which 10 firefighters were dispatched to the scene, officials said. It was reported that thick smoke billowed from the burning mountain of rubbish and enveloped the neighborhoods.
