Weather today: exceptionally warm for the season

The start of the work week looks magnificent with above-average highs. Normally at this time of year, temperatures should be around 68 degrees in Denver, but Monday highs will be nearly 10 degrees higher.

The mountains also remain sunny on Monday with a 10-20% chance of afternoon rain showers and thunderstorms over central and southern areas. Peaks in the mountains will be in the 50s.

Weather tomorrow: the cold front sets in

A cold front runs until Tuesday afternoon.
