Currently, it’s 5°C at the Edmonton Blatchford weather station with winds of 6 km/h from the southwest.

Today’s predictions are incredible! A daytime high of 15°C is expected. Although the winds will be gusting from 20 km/h to 40 this morning, they are coming from the southwest, which means that it will be a warm wind. You know, like what our QE II friends call a “chinook.”

I’ve heard people say we don’t take them that far north, but I’m sure there are circumstances where a warm southerly wind impacts our temperature.

The warmer temperatures seem to linger for a few more days which will be great. I just hope they can stretch into Monday so the trick or treat isn’t too cold for the kids (and parents) planning to go out that night.

Either way, I’m going to enjoy a few beautiful fall days while we have them. I’m sure we’ll soon be talking about the s-word and all that goes with it.
