Many Chances of Showers This Week: Northeast Ohio Weather Forecast


CLEVELAND, Ohio – It’s the first week of May. In anticipation of a beautiful spring weather? To keep waiting.

Remember you are in northeast Ohio. So while temperatures will be a bit milder this week, there will also be cloudy skies and plenty of chances of rain, according to forecasters from the National Weather Service.

There is no rain forecast for Monday, but it will be cloudy with highs in the 60s. It will remain cloudy overnight and lows will be in the upper 40s.

Expect showers and a chance of thunderstorms on Tuesday, especially in the afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 60s in the Cleveland area and the 70s in the Akron area. Chances of showers and thunderstorms persist overnight as temperatures drop to low 50s.

Showers and thunderstorms could continue through Wednesday, with mostly cloudy skies and highs in the upper 50s in Cleveland and low 60s in Akron. The rain is expected to stop overnight but the weather will remain mostly cloudy and temperatures will be in the mid 40’s.

Thursday could bring a break from the gloomy weather. Forecasts call for partly sunny skies and highs in the 60s in Cleveland and the 60s in Akron. Clouds move in overnight, bringing chances of showers. Times will be in the upper 40s.

There is a good chance of showers on Friday and highs will be around 60 degrees. Expect mostly cloudy skies. Saturday will be partly sunny with highs around 60, but there is a chance of showers. The perfect spring day arrives, hopefully, on Sunday for Mother’s Day… the forecast calls for mostly sunny skies and highs in the 60s.
