Met Office weather forecast for Gloucestershire towns at the start of the May bank holiday weekend

Meteorologists predict a mostly dry but cloudy bank holiday for Gloucestershire. The Met Office expects Monday May 2 to be the hottest day of the weekend as there is a chance of rain in parts of the county on Sunday.

Saturday (April 30) we should see a sunny start to the day before the clouds roll in in the afternoon. There will be county high temperatures of 16C in Gloucester and Tewkesbury.

Then on Sunday there is a chance of light rain in Cheltenham, Tewkesbury and Stroud. However, it should disperse by lunchtime and early afternoon.

Bank Holiday Monday is expected to be the hottest day of the weekend, giving people the chance to get out and enjoy the reasonable weather. Gloucester will experience high temperatures of 17C while Cinderford will be the coolest area of ​​the county with highs of 15C.

Sunday – Light rain becoming cloudy late in the morning. Highs of 15C and lows of 7C.
