Parts of the Region of Murcia will reach a sweltering 37C in the coming days
Temperatures have been steadily climbing for the past few weeks throughout the Region of Murcia and as we settle into June it seems the only way is uphill. The weather will remain stable all week with sunny or slightly cloudy skies and the mercury will reach a heat wave of 37°C in the middle of the week.
Monday, June 6
The day will dawn slightly cloudy but clear up significantly as afternoon approaches. Daytime temperatures will vary, standing at 28°C on the coast of Cartagena and reaching 35°C in the municipality of Murcia. The day will be relatively calm with only a slight breeze.
Tuesday, June 7
Little change is expected on Tuesday, although the mercury will rise across the region, climbing to 36C by midday in Caravaca de la Cruz. Still a little windy today, with night temperatures between 15°C and 20°C.
Wednesday, June 8
Another pleasant day ahead, although the clouds, as well as the morning mists, could stay a little longer in the Campo de Cartagena. Nighttime temperatures will remain the same as Tuesday while during the day the mercury will soar to 37C in Murcia.
Thursday June 9
An easterly wind will pick up on Thursday and blow stronger on the coast, significantly reducing temperatures in many areas. Cartagena will peak at around 36°C but it will be slightly warmer in Lorca and Caravaca, where thermometers will hover around 32°C.
