1. A level 2 yellow warning for WAVES causing navigation difficulties at sea between Saldanha Bay and Cape Agulhas is expected from the afternoon, extending to Plettenberg Bay in the evening and easing on Saturday.

Temperature and UVB forecast

Gauteng:

Temperature: Nice and cool but hot in the far north.

The expected UVB sunburn index: High.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Fine and cool to warm but warm in the Lowveld.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Thin and warm.

North West Province:

Temperature: Fine and warm

free state:

Temperature: Thin and fresh when hot

North Cape:

Temperature: Morning fog on the southern heights where it will be cold in places, otherwise beautiful and cool to hot.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be weak from the southeast becoming moderate in the afternoon.

Western Cloak:

Temperature: Cloudy along coastal regions in the morning with a chance of light rain in the extreme southwest, otherwise partly cloudy and cool.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh from the southwest.

The expected UVB sunburn index: Moderate.

Eastern Cape:

The western half – Patchy morning fog patches over the interior, otherwise fair and cool, but partly cloudy along the coast and adjacent interior.

The West half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be cool to strong southwesterly, but moderate northwesterly east of Cape St Francis in the morning.

The eastern half -Fair and cool, but partly cloudy along the Côte Sauvage. It will become cloudy with patchy fog patches south of the escarpment overnight.

The eastern half – The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh from the southwest, reaching strong in places during the morning.

Kwazulu Natal:

Temperature: Morning fog over the northern interior, otherwise fine and warm but cool in parts in the south.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be mild to moderate from the north to northeast becoming moderate to fresh from the southwest to the south by mid morning, spreading to Richards Bay by late morning.
