CLEVELAND, Ohio – A heat wave will arrive in northeast Ohio this week, but it will be very brief.
National Weather Service forecasters say temperatures are expected to hit the mid-90s on Wednesday and it will be mostly sunny, so it will be a day to seek shade.
And that will be about all. The rest of the week is pretty intermediate.
It will be quite warm on Monday, with highs in the mid-80s and mostly sunny skies. There is a good chance of showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon, with even more chances during the night. Mostly cloudy overnight with lows in the upper 60s.
Tuesday will be pleasant, with mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 70s. It will be light overnight and temperatures will be in the 60s.
After hitting the mid-90s on Wednesday, temperatures will drop back to the mid-80s on Thursday. There is a 70% chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms are a good possibility overnight and temperatures will remain in the upper 60s.
More showers and thunderstorms are possible Friday afternoon. Otherwise, look for partly sunny skies and a high of around 80 degrees.
The forecast right now calls for a sunny weekend, with highs in the mid 80s on Saturday and upper 80s on Sunday.
