Traffic and weather forecast in Auckland for March 16, 2022



Auckland traffic remains smooth and light this morning with an area of ​​congestion on the SH20 South West Highway heading south towards Manukau.

An accident on the SH1 South Freeway now blocks the left lane, northbound past the Hill Road on-ramp. The NZTA advises motorists to drive through with caution and expect delays until cleared.

An earlier accident that occurred northbound past the Portage Road overpass is now clear of the tracks. The NZTA advises motorists to allow extra time and to expect delays in this area as emergency services and response teams are always present.

Summer continues to linger, Wednesday’s weather should be mostly fine with a shower expected before dawn.

According to MetService, residents of Auckland should expect to see a high of 27C between 2 and 4 p.m.

A minimum of 14C is expected before sunrise, between 4am and 6am.

UV levels are expected to be dangerous today from 10:10 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Sunscreen is recommended for anyone who will be outdoors during this part of the day.

For the rest of the week, the forecast announces good weather until the weekend, when showers are expected.
