Twins postpone opener against Seattle to Friday afternoon due to weather forecast

The Twins postponed their opener against Seattle to Friday due to weather forecasts, which include a mix of rain and snow and temperatures in the 30s.

The game is now scheduled for a 3:10 p.m. start on Friday.

All opening day festivities associated with the game, including the breakfast drive to Target Field Plaza, have also been postponed.

The Twins announced these policies for people holding opener tickets.

They can:

  • Use their tickets to gain admission to Friday’s game.
  • Use their tickets to any future Twins regular season home game (subject to ticket availability). All redemptions must be completed by 3:00 p.m. Thursday. (Due to capacity limitations, UnitedHealthcare Suite Level, Thomson Reuters Champions Club and Budweiser Roof Deck tickets will only be valid for Friday’s game.)
  • Tickets for the postponed match are non-refundable
  • Tickets purchased from a secondary ticket reseller, such as StubHub, will only be valid for Friday’s game.
  • The free tickets are only valid for the postponed game on April 8.
