Savannah, Ga. (WJCL) – Warm spring weather will continue today with afternoon temperatures in the low to mid 80s for most areas and the upper 70s for the islands. It will be dry for most of the day, but there will be showers or isolated thunderstorms after 3 p.m. The severe threat is low today, but there could be some severe thunderstorms for inland areas, the main threat being gusty winds with thunderstorms. Rainfall totals today appear to be less than 0.25 in. for most areas. Friday morning the clouds will start with a cold front moving off the coast at dawn. There will be lots of sunshine on Friday afternoon with less humidity and less heat. Friday highs will be in the upper 70s with north to northeast winds. The Easter weekend will be pleasantly warm with highs near 80˚. A weak cold front will approach Saturday afternoon. Models show scattered showers or thunderstorms for Saturday and Sunday with better chances in the afternoon and evening. The chance of rain will continue through Monday with a cold front moving into the evening.
