Weather forecast and terrain report from Warner Park, Basseterre, St Kitts – India Tour of West Indies 2022, 2nd T20I

West Indies will face India in the second T20I at Warner Park in St. Kitts on August 1. The hosts lost the first T20I by 68 runs after their batting lineup fell short of expectations while chasing 190. In many ways, the upcoming T20I is becoming a go-to for entertainers to restore some pretense to the series.

Windies skipper Nicholas Pooran was dejected after another disappointing batting display by Windies hitters. Their hitter has struggled since the ODI series against Bangladesh. They are still struggling in the series against India as well.

“The players are feeling hurt, it’s the first game of the series and we’re looking to bounce back. 18 overs was 150 I guess and then they took the momentum from us, we just have to work on our discipline. The spinners did well and we need to look at some of the combinations to come” said Pooran.

Like India, they also have concerns with their intermediate order. Pooran himself along with Jason Holder and Rovman Powell form an important trio and need to get back in shape ahead of the T20 World Cup. Everyone must start scoring points for their team again as soon as possible.
