The Met Eireann weather forecast for Sunday is for a very wet day across the country with Met Eireann predicting thundery showers with potential localized flooding.
Three separate weather warnings are in place for Sunday. An orange rain warning is in place for Kerry from 3:00 a.m. Sunday to 3:00 p.m. Sunday. Another status orange weather warning is in place for Waterford and Cork from 3am Sunday until 3am Monday.
A status yellow rain warning for all of Ireland warning of heavy rain with isolated thunderstorms is in place for all of Ireland from 3am Sunday to 3am Monday.
According to the latest Met Eireann weather forecast for Ireland, rain will spread across the country on Sunday, becoming heavy and persistent in places. Isolated thundery showers are possible as well as a potential for localized flooding. Wet and windy on Sunday with highs of 17-20 degrees in moderate to cool southerly winds.
New outbreaks of rain Sunday evening, abundant in places. Fairly mild and humid night with minimum temperatures of 12 to 16 degrees with moderate breezes from variable directions.
On Monday, scattered rain and drizzle will become largely confined to the southeast of the country with sunny spells developing elsewhere. Maximum temperatures will range from a rather cool 15 or 16 degrees in the north to 20 or 21 degrees in the south. Mainly dry Monday night with long clear spells and just a chance of a few showers in the northwest. A cooler night than recently with lows of 7-10 degrees in light northerly winds.
