A cyclonic circulation in Karnataka will bring widespread rains mainly to the western side of the southern peninsula, with some isolated heavy falls on the Konkan and Malabar coasts from Thursday to Friday.

Another cyclonic circulation is located over the central east and adjacent southeast Bay of Bengal. It is expected to intensify into an area of ​​low pressure as it moves towards mainland India. As a result, the coasts of Andhra Pradesh or Odisha are expected to receive heavy rains from Thursday. It will then move slowly north with Bangladesh and neighboring areas likely to be the center of heavy rain over the weekend and into Monday.

Meanwhile, fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated heavy falls, thunderstorms and lightning are very likely over Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday and over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura Sunday and Monday.

Moderate rainfall activity is expected to continue over most parts of northwest India over the next five days.

As for mercury levels, the temperature is expected to exceed 40°C in western Rajasthan for the next five days. Overnight lows will be warmer than normal across much of the country for the duration.
