Here is the weather forecast for the next two days.

Monday (June 27)

  • Heavy rain is possible over Konkan and Goa.
  • Widespread rains with isolated thunderstorms are likely over Konkan, Goa, Karnataka coast, Kerala, Mahé, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and the Sikkim.
  • Fairly widespread rains with isolated thunderstorms were forecast over Bihar, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathawada and the Lakshadweep.
  • Scattered rain with isolated lightning is expected over Saurashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and interior Karnataka.
  • Scattered rains with isolated thunderstorms are likely over Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand and eastern Uttar Pradesh.
  • Isolated rains are forecast over western Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Rajasthan, Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu , with a risk of lightning.

Tuesday (June 28)

  • Heavy rain is possible over Konkan, Goa and parts of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.
  • Widespread rains with isolated thunderstorms are likely over Konkan, Goa, Karnataka Coast, Kerala, Mahé, Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal , Sikkim, Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh.
  • Scattered rains with isolated lightning were forecast over Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathawada, Andhra Pradesh and interior Karnataka.
  • Isolated rains are expected over Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and western Rajasthan, with a risk of lightning.
  • Fairly widespread rains with isolated thunderstorms are forecast over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar and western Uttar Pradesh.
  • Scattered rains with isolated thunderstorms are likely over Gangetic West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh and eastern Rajasthan.

An offshore trough at mean sea level along the west coast and strong westerly/southwesterly winds along the west coast will likely result in the following weather phenomena:

  • Isolated heavy to very heavy rain over Konkan and Goa over the next five days.
  • Isolated heavy rains over Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra, Karnataka coast, Kerala and Mahe over the next five days, southern parts of Saurashtra and northern interior Karnataka on Wednesday and Thursday, coastal from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on Wednesday, on Telangana on Thursday, on Southern Interior of Karnataka from June 28th to June 30th.
  • Isolated heavy to very heavy rains on the Karnataka coast on Wednesday and Thursday.

An east-west trough over northern India and moist winds from the Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea over the north of the country are likely to bring the following weather events:

  • Isolated heavy rains over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad and western Rajasthan on Thursday, Uttarakhand from June 27 to 30, Himachal Pradesh and eastern from Rajasthan from June 29 to 30 and over Uttar Pradesh from June 28 to 30.
  • Isolated heavy to very heavy rain over Uttarakhand on Wednesday.
  • Isolated heavy rains over Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha from 27-30 June.
  • Isolated heavy to very heavy rain over Bihar on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The influence of south/southwesterly winds from the Bay of Bengal to northeast and adjacent eastern India is expected to bring isolated heavy to very heavy rains over sub-Himalayan West Bengal on Tuesday and Wednesday.
