A cyclonic circulation over the southern Andaman Sea and its surroundings extends to the middle tropospheric levels. Under its influence, a low pressure area is expected to develop over the southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining the Andaman Sea within the next 24 hours. It is likely to move westward and gradually concentrate in a depression over central parts of the southern Bay of Bengal by Friday November 18th. Under the influence of this system, widespread rainfall with heavy falls is expected over isolated parts of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands on Wednesday November 16th.

Meanwhile, a western disturbance in higher latitudes may bring isolated/scattered to moderate rainfall or snowfall over Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit Baltistan, Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh on May 18th and November 19.

As for mercury levels, the minimum temperature is expected to drop by 2-4°C in most parts of North West India and Madhya Pradesh over the next three days. On the other hand, a warming trend is expected in the south and northeast of the country.
