A cyclonic circulation extends over southern Tamil Nadu and its environs at lower tropospheric levels. Further on, a trough crosses above this cyclonic circulation over southern Tamilnadu to central Madhya Pradesh.

Fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall with isolated heavy falls, thunderstorms and lightning are very likely over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya during the next five days.

Similar wet conditions are very likely over southern Madhya Pradesh on September 1, Bihar on September 1-2 and over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim over the next five days.

Isolated scattered light to moderate rain is possible over the western Himalayan region over the next couple of days.
