The well marked low pressure area is now over central parts of Madhya Pradesh with its associated cyclonic circulation. It will likely move northwest across Madhya Pradesh over the next 24 hours. Additionally, the western extremities of the monsoon trough are south of their normal position and its eastern extremities are near their normal position and will likely remain so for the next 2-3 days. A cyclonic circulation extends over the central eastern Arabian Sea off the southern coast of Maharashtra-Goa, while a trough extends from it towards central parts of Bangladesh through the area of well marked low pressure over central parts of Madhya Pradesh.

Fairly widespread to widespread light or moderate rainfall with isolated heavy falls accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is very likely over Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha on September 13, Bihar, Jharkhand, Saurashtra, Kutch, West Bengal and Odisha on September 13-14, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan and Goa over the next five days. Isolated very heavy rains are also likely over eastern Madhya and Gujarat on September 13, western Madhya Pradesh and ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra from September 13-15, and over Konkan and Goa over the next five next days.

Fairly widespread to widespread light or moderate rainfall with isolated heavy falls accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is possible over eastern Rajasthan from September 13 to 15, and over Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh during the five next days. Isolated very heavy rainfall is also forecast over eastern Rajasthan on September 14, Uttarakhand from September 14-17 and over Uttar Pradesh from September 15-17.

Fairly widespread to widespread light or moderate rainfall with isolated heavy falls accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is expected over Telangana and interior Karnataka on September 12, ghat areas of Tamil Nadu on September 13 and on the coast from Karnataka from September 13 to 14.

Squally weather (wind speed reaching 40-60 km/h) is very likely to prevail along and off the coasts of northern Andhra Pradesh and Odisha on 13 September. Anglers are advised not to venture along and off these coasts on this day.
