  • Isolated heavy falls are possible in the coastal areas of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
  • Fairly widespread rains and thunderstorms were forecast over Sikkim, West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, India. Odisha, Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
  • Scattered rains and thunderstorms are likely over Bihar and Madhya Pradesh.

  • Isolated heavy falls are possible in coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
  • Fairly widespread rains and thunderstorms are predicted over Sikkim, West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha , Telangana and Tamil Nadu.
  • Scattered rains and thunderstorms were forecast over Bihar and Madhya Pradesh.
  • Isolated rains are forecast over Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat.
  • Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan are likely to be dry.

The monsoon trough is close to its normal position. Meanwhile, a cyclonic circulation is found over southern interior Karnataka and environs while a north-south trough extends from Chhattisgarh to the aforementioned cyclonic circulation. Another cyclonic circulation is likely to form over the central eastern Bay of Bengal within the next 24 hours. Under its influence, a low pressure area is likely to form over the central western Bay of Bengal over the next 48 hours.

Fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated heavy falls accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is very likely on the Andhra Pradesh coast and Yanam from September 7 to 10, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Karaikal from September 7 to 8 September, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala and Mahé for the next five days. Isolated very heavy rains are also possible over the Karnataka coast on September 8 and 9, the northern interior of Karnataka, the Andhra Pradesh coast, Yanam and Telangana on September 7 and 9, the southern interior of Karnataka, Kerala and Mahé on September 8. is also on the charts over Kerala, Mahé and southern coastal and interior Karnataka on September 7.

Fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall with isolated heavy falls accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is very likely over Uttarakhand on September 9-10. Moderate rainfall activity will be seen over most parts of North West India over the next five days.
